Photography has always been on the vanguard of technology with the desired outcome being to achieve the very finest results by leveraging new capabilities. With the rapid evolution in digital photography technologies, we are now able to deliver photographic prints greatly exceeding the quality and longevity of film-based media. In fact, the sensitivity of a digital camera’s silicon sensor can see a broader range of luminance values than most films—allowing for the capture of up to 14 stops of dynamic range (versus 5 to 7 stops with film, at best).
Consequently we are able to recreate more closely what our eyes see in the natural world, providing the opportunity to produce magnificent works of art that will last for generations. Amoth’s extensive experience in the fields of art and technology provides a distinct advantage in his print creation.
Successfully creating a fine-art photograph requires a delicate blend of art and craft. It is paramount to produce photographs of the highest integrity and quality technically possible. To support this principle Amoth chooses to be in control of the entire process—from image composition and capture to print production. He refrains from altering any of the elements originally present in the recorded photo, and is highly attentive to producing prints that accurately reflect the color and contrast perceived when making the photographs.
Carl uses only state-of-the-art digital camera, image processing, and printing equipment throughout the production process. The pigment-based inks used in the prints represent the latest in scientific research, rendering vibrant life-like color that resists fading for over 200 years—far surpassing the longevity of traditional print media. Only 100% cotton-based papers free of optical brighteners are used, which improves color accuracy while resisting fading. This ink-paper combination provides a superior means of producing stunning photographs that are physically composed of many of the same elements represented in the photographs.

Carl personally produces and hand signs each custom print in his studio. Please contact us for specific information pertaining to the printing process, equipment, and media used. Standard print sizes and pricing are displayed in the following table. Custom print sizes, including panoramic sizes, note cards and very large format prints are available upon request. Volume pricing is available for large orders.
